Hi, I’m Emma!
I’m a recent IT graduate looking to take the next step in my career. I’m seeking roles where I can make a positive difference in the community. While I’ve worked primarily in court transcription for the last several years, I got into IT because I enjoy detailed problem solving, building useful tools, and constantly learning. I also enjoy writing high quality documentation and researching complex topics.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our cat, playing Stardew Valley, and watching the latest episode of Critical Role.

Graduate Diploma in IT (2024—2025)
Coursework focused on software, web, and app development. This included HTML, CSS, JavaScript, creating robust and flexible programs with Java and object-oriented programming principles, and a class-wide project incorporating Git and group collaboration.
I supplemented the above with studies in computer networking, parallel and distributed computing, artificial intelligence, and UI/UX.

I completed my placement at the Australian Red Cross, WA, where I was directly involved in supporting an after action review by summarising findings in a written report.
